Vor rund einem Jahr war für Team Holmstrøm alles klar: The Golden State is calling the boys from the North! Nach einem spannenden Kopf-an-Kopf-Rennen beim Arnette Videocontest “IN YOUR FACE” konnten sich die Kieler und Sylter Jungs schließlich knapp gegen die Crews aus Italien und Frankreich mit norddeutscher Surfaction (siehe Clip unten) durchsetzen!

Anfang März hieß es dann: Next stop Los Angeles Airport LAX! Ein unvergesslicher zehntägiger Trip durch California für die gesamte Crew folgte. Was die Jungs alles erlebten und angestellten bekommt Ihr jetzt auch in bewegten Bildern aufs Auge (siehe Clip oben)! We hope you like our stuff!!!

“Herzlichen Glückwunsch” vom gesamten Team! Holmstrøm Teamrider “Akwa Bowee” hat das 23. Lebensjahr erfolgreich abgehakt! Aus diesem Anlass zauberte Don Poseisdon stimmungsvolles Wetter hervor und ließ einige gute Wellen in der Nähe Flensburgs über die Platte wandern! So konnte das Geburtstagskind trotz Strömung und Sturm  einige Cutbacks und Carves auspacken und eine gute Geburtstagssession haben!

Sturmtief Andrea sorgte  in den letzten vier Tagen rund um Voupør für dicke Wellen und Sturm. HS-Rider Jonas und die Küstenboys  Finn-Ole  und Eggi waren fast immer alleine im Wasser und konnten so nach Lust und Laune rippen!

Nach einem ausgiebigem Trip im Herbst, hat Lennart sich kurzentschlossen ins sommerliche Andalusien aufgemacht, um den zuverlässigen Diesel nicht rosten zu lassen. Die ersten Tage ließen sich keine guten Wellen blicken, dafür zeigte sich der Levante und ließ einige kleine Schwellungen zu, welche zumindest zum Bodysurfen taugten. Pünktlich zum Feste der Liebe ging es dann ab! Wohlgeformte Sandbänke sorgten für tagelanges Vergnügen bei angenehmen Temperaturen und schattigen Barrels… Grüße gehen raus an Toni Lago!

Ein fabelhafter Start ins neue Jahr. Nach den Orkanen und Stürmen der letzen Tage hat sich doch so einiges aufgebaut auf’m Teich. Was dann viele Surfer hoffen, ist auch heute eingetreten. Nach langer Zeit wehte endlich mal nur ein laues Lüftchen und dazu lachte die Sonne bei freundlichen 5°C Wassertemperatur.

Team Holmstrøm wünscht allen Freunden und Wassersportlern einen guten Rutsch, viel Wind und gute Wellen für das Jahr 2012! Danke für den super Support!

Das Beste kommt ja bekanntlich immer zum Schluss. Dieses Jahr in Form einer kräftigen Dünung aus West. Bis zur Dämmerung wurden die überkopfhohen Wände zerlegt. Mit eine der besten Sessions in 2011.

In der Nacht 30 Knoten aus Nordwest, leichte Gewitterschauer die schonmal ein bisschen die Wellen formen und am nächsten Tag drehender Wind. Der Himmel grau, nur etwas dunkler schimmern Linien am Horizont. Die Gezeiten passen, es perlt an der Sandbank entlang. Da lässt man also lieber keine Zeit verstreichen, springt sofort in den Neo und dann ab zum Strand. Ein perfeker Wintersurf eben!

Nach dem schon gewohnten Wochenendsturm, folgte eine weitere Woche voller Wellen, 10 Sekunden Perioden, kleiner Barrels, leichtem Sideshore und kurzer Tage. Täglich grüßt das Murmeltier.
